Warner Bros. Movie World is the Gold Coast's blockbuster theme park, bringing the magic of Hollywood to Oxenford with an extraordinary line-up of DC Comics superheroes, iconic movie characters and record-breaking rides. From the Southern Hemisphere's fastest hypercoaster to immersive dark rides and character meet-and-greets, Movie World delivers a full day of cinematic excitement for families and thrill-seekers alike.
Opened in 1991, Warner Bros. Movie World is divided into six themed areas, with the DC Comics superhero hub at its beating heart. The DC Rivals HyperCoaster stands 61.6 metres tall and reaches 115 km/h, making it the tallest, longest and fastest hypercoaster in the Southern Hemisphere. The Flash: Speed Force, Green Lantern Coaster, Superman Escape and Batwing Spaceshot round out an exceptional collection of major rides.
Visitors can take part in Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D, an interactive dark ride where laser blasters help defeat an alien invasion alongside Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Character meet-and-greets with Batman, Wonder Woman, Bugs Bunny, Tweety and other beloved figures are scheduled throughout the day, making the park especially popular with younger guests.
The park also features live stunt shows, a special effects walkthrough and a range of family-friendly attractions in dedicated zones. Online tickets are notably cheaper than gate prices, and the park is located just off the Pacific Motorway about 30 minutes north of Surfers Paradise.
