Nan Tien Temple

The temple grounds cover sweeping landscaped gardens anchored by two grand prayer halls, the Great Mercy Shrine and the Great Hero Hall, alongside an eight-level pagoda and a museum tracing the history of Buddhism across Asia. Visitors are welcome to walk the grounds freely, attend guided tours, and dine at the vegetarian Tea House or Arts Cafe.

Mindfulness workshops, weekend retreats, and cultural festivals run throughout the year, making Nan Tien a genuine destination for wellbeing and intercultural connection rather than a passive sightseeing stop. Dress modestly: no sleeveless tops, shorts, or thongs are permitted in the shrines, and shoes are removed before entering.
