Lowe Family Wine Co at Tinja Farm is Mudgee's leading certified organic and biodynamic winery, producing wines of genuine character from low-intervention vineyard practices. The cellar door is relaxed and welcoming, set among heritage-listed farm buildings with views across the rolling hills, and the daily tasting experience offers a range of current-release wines guided by passionate staff.
David Lowe established the Tinja property in the 1990s with a clear aim, to make wine that honestly reflects its place, using farming methods that look after the land for future generations. The estate is certified organic and biodynamic, and the philosophy shows in wines that are expressive, earthy, and often surprisingly age-worthy for their price.
The cellar door also houses the Zin Food and Wine House, a casual restaurant and providore that pairs estate wines with regional produce. Shared plates, wood-fired dishes, and a cheese and charcuterie selection make this an easy stop for lunch during a Mudgee wine trail.
The working farm adds atmosphere and a sense of genuine authenticity that larger cellar doors can struggle to match.
