Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa
Victoria's iconic mineral bathing
schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026
Perched beside Spring Creek in Hepburn Springs, the Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa has been drawing visitors to Victoria's spa country since 1895. The beautifully restored heritage building houses communal mineral pools filled with naturally carbonated spring water, alongside premium Sanctuary facilities for adults. It is the beating heart of the Daylesford wellness experience and one of Australia's most celebrated bathing destinations.
The Bathhouse offers 90-minute sessions in heated mineral pools at 34 to 36 degrees Celsius, drawing on the region's naturally carbonated groundwater rich in magnesium, silica, and iron. Families and visitors of all ages can use the Bathhouse pools, while the adults-only Sanctuary adds a salt pool, mineral hammam, aroma steam room, contrast therapy pools, and dry sauna.
The facility is set within the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve, a heritage-listed parkland created in 1865 to protect the springs from mining interests. Booking in advance is strongly recommended, especially on weekends and during school and public holidays when peak pricing applies.
A heritage cafe at the adjacent Hepburn Pavilion serves food and drinks, making it easy to extend your visit into a relaxed half-day retreat among the tree-lined creek banks.
