Ebor Falls
Twin cascades on the Guy Fawkes
schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026
Ebor Falls presents two distinct waterfalls in rapid succession as the Guy Fawkes River plunges approximately 100 metres over a basalt escarpment in Guy Fawkes River National Park on the Waterfall Way, around 67 kilometres east of Armidale. A short loop walk connects cantilevered lookouts above both the upper and lower falls, delivering wide-angle views of the cascades and the forested gorge below.
The upper falls drop over a broad, curved lip of basalt before the river gathers itself and tips again over the lower falls into a deep, spray-filled plunge pool. The site includes separate car parks at both falls, each with an accessible parking space, and the loop walk between them is sealed and manageable for most visitors.
Ebor Falls is one of the signature stops on Waterfall Way, the tourist drive that links the New England Tablelands to the Coffs Coast. The small village of Ebor sits nearby, and the surrounding landscape of rolling tablelands and dry sclerophyll forest contrasts sharply with the lush gorge vegetation visible from the lookouts.
The falls are free to visit and there is no booking required, making them an ideal stop on a Waterfall Way road trip. Early morning visits often reward with mist rising from the gorge and birdlife active in the surrounding canopy.
